Tanzanian music sensation Mbosso has shared intimate details about his remarkable musical journey, unveiling his highly anticipated new Extended Play (EP) titled "Room Number 3".

The Spark of Inspiration: Aslay's Early Influence

Mbosso, whose full name is Yusuf Kirungi Asumani Salum Magenge, began by expressing profound gratitude to those who have been part of his life's journey. He specifically acknowledged Aslay as a foundational figure in his decision to pursue music.

Mbosso recounted how, at the very beginning of his career as an artist under "Mkubwa na Wanawe," seeing Aslay perform at the Mkubwa na Wanawe station, coupled with Mkubwa Fela's call for young, talented singers, instilled in him the self-belief to pursue music.

He revealed that Mkubwa na Wanawe Station which led to the birth of Yamoto Band was his ‘Room Number 1’, as it is where his musical journey began.

“I would like to ask you to give a lot of applause and many thanks to Aslay. When I started music, my first day as an artist for Mkubwa na Wanawe was because I saw him singing at the Mkubwa na Wanawe station, and I heard Mkubwa Fela saying he needed young people of this age who could sing. Through Aslay, I gained the confidence to believe that even though I'm young, I can also sing," he explicitly stated and credited Aslay for motivating him and teaching him many things.

Lessons from the Boss: Diamond Platnumz and the Wasafi Era

Reflecting on what he termed "Room Number Two" in his musical life, Mbosso described it as a period of very good life in his music filled with happiness, love, and friends within the Wasafi collective.

He mentioned prominent artists like Harmonize, Rayvanny, Lava Lava, Queen Darleen, Rich Mavoko, and Zuchu as part of this tightly-knit group. It was during this phase that Mbosso experienced "the sweetness and sugar of my music," gained significant musical training, and encountered many influential and wealthy individuals.

"I saw the sweetness and sugar of my music, I got great training for my music, I was able to know, I met millionaires also through Wasafi. I ask that we clap very much for my brother Diamond Platnumz. Even this confidence to stand here, you know I learned it from him,” Mbosso said.

He attributed his transformation to the love fostered within Wasafi, acknowledging the presence of Wasafi staff and presenters at the event as a testament to this collaborative environment.
