Amidst the joyous celebrations of her daughter Africana's second birthday, Kenyan socialite and entrepreneur Amber Ray didn't shy away from addressing a past incident that irked her, involving fellow personalities Phoina and Risper Faith.
Ray explicitly confirmed that a widely discussed Instagram post she made, advising influencers on professional conduct, was indeed directed at them.
Amber Ray minced no words, stating unequivocally, “It was, yeah it was" when asked if her message was meant for the duo. She characterized their actions as "so uncalled for".

The core of her grievance stemmed from their behavior at a professional event where they were expected to promote a business. Instead, their focus seemed to shift to creating drama around her presence.
“You’re called somewhere to go and do promotion for a certain business and then you go there and all you think about because Amber is like based in that place and you just have to throw a shade in the name of I love her," Ray elaborated.
She emphasized the need for greater professionalism within the influencer sphere, critiquing what she perceived as a chase for mere engagement over genuine content.
"No, you know, I mean I feel influencers should be more professional. It’s not just about views and all like be intentional about what you’re saying and all."
The incident also touched upon her personal life and hospitality. Amber Ray made a point to clarify her stance on who she chooses to entertain in her home, likely in response to specific comments made during the alleged "shade-throwing."
She stated, "I don’t just cook for anyone. I cook for the people that I love and my house people have come to my house. They’re people that I love genuinely and people that mean a lot to me. If I’ve never come to my house and you know. Yeah."

This suggests the public rearks from Phoina and Risper Faith might have implied a lack of genuine connection or hospitality from Amber, or perhaps disparaged her home environment.
When pressed on whether Phoina and Risper Faith had reached out to apologize after her public statement, Amber Ray’s answer was a firm "No, they didn’t".
She further revealed that she hadn't spoken to them "for the last" implying a significant period of estrangement.
Dismissing the notion that their comments were mere jokes, she retorted, "Some jokes are no. I mean I take alcohol as well but people need to be respectful."
Despite having been friends "for some time," Amber clarified the depth of their relationship, stating, "Being friends doesn’t mean like you guys have to talk every day right and all. Yeah. But all I’m trying to say we’re not that close."
