Diana Yegon Opens Up: The Toughest Part of Her First Month Married to Presenter Kai

Just a month into marriage, the radiant Diana Yegon has opened up about feeling an odd sense of guilt each morning she wakes up next to her husband, Presenter Kai.

Speaking during their first joint appearance on Kai’s YouTube channel, Yegon confessed that she’s still adjusting to the realities of married life and is yet to fully embrace some of the changes that come with it.

One of the habits she’s struggling with is referring to herself by her new name, ‘Diana Kai,’ instead of the name she’s used all her life, ‘Diana Yegon’.

“My name is Diana Yegon… okay, Diana Kai. I’m still not used to that name,” she admitted with a smile. “Even this morning, I was telling him that for the past four weeks, I’ve been waking up and feeling guilty.”

“I feel guilty that we’re together — I suppose I haven’t fully acclimatised to waking up next to him,” she added.

Her husband, however, was quick to reassure her. Kai encouraged Diana to be patient with herself, saying that adjusting to change is a gradual process.

“Don’t worry,” he told her. “With time, you’ll get used to it. In life, change comes slowly. As they say, habits form character. So right now it may feel strange, but eventually, it’ll become second nature.”

Reflecting on their first month of marriage, Kai dismissed the negativity that often surrounds the institution, saying his own experience has been fulfilling.

“Marriage is good — especially for those who trust in God. We’ve done one month now, and so far, so good,” he shared. “There are challenges, of course. Nothing worthwhile comes without them, but they’re manageable.”

However, their union has not been without drama. Just weeks after tying the knot, Kai revealed that a man tried to sabotage their relationship by messaging Diana, falsely claiming to be the sponsor of their wedding and accusing Kai of being broke.

“Let’s join hands to break your marriage,” read one of the messages from the man, who identified himself as 'King Supermond'. He went on to allege he had financed their wedding and urged Diana to leave her husband.

Kai publicly exposed the man, revealing he is married himself and lives in his rural home, yet was attempting to wreck other people’s relationships through deception.
