Ngesh wa Vasha, a budding rapper who rose to fame with the song Kaveve Kazoze in the Spider Clan group, has broken her silence concerning her absence from social media for some time now.
Speaking to a blogger, Ngesh wa Vasha lamented that there is no way she can be in the limelight and be readily available while she is still bankrupt.
The upcoming rapper who disappeared after the short-lived popularity of the song laments that she is broke and does not see the need to appear on social media to please people, while in real life, she’s reeling in misery.
“It is not about staying in the limelight and getting nothing, you see. It is not about being busy making videos that don’t earn you anything in return. You can’t be all over social media showing fans where you have gone, what you have done, yet you have no money. Money is everything actually,” Ngesh said.

When asked why the Spider Clan disbanded after a short stint of fame, Ngesh wa Vasha said that although the song gained massive traction and love from the fans, they were not getting anything from YouTube revenue, so they could not continue working on more projects.
“As long as we were not getting money from our YouTube, we would not continue to release videos or make music. First of all, I would not stay in the limelight. I refused that, too,” he explained.
The rapper, who is well known for her rapping skills especially in her feature on the song ‘cash crop za Nyandarua ni waru’, a sing-along line that became favorite to many, revealed that her colleagues in Spider Clan wanted to reinvent themselves by doing things to retain their popularity online but she opposed the idea.
She stressed that she would never show a life of deception online to please fans, but in real life, she still goes through challenges.
"The group was pushing us to do something, but I didn't want to. Like, why should I stay in the limelight when I'm broke? Why should I come and lie to them that I'm fine, but deep down I'm suffering? I can't accept that," she maintained her stance.
This revelation ofhers made some sympathize with her, while others asked whether there was a way to help her return to the limelight after stabilizing her life.
2Mbili, who, a few weeks ago, led people on social media to raise money for the release of Khalif Kairo from remand, asked fans if they were ready to donate equally to bring Ngesh wa Vasha back to her best.
It will be recalled that when their hit was the talk of the streets and online, Spider Clan met with celebrities like Senator Karen Nyamu and businessman Mike Sonko, who all promised to support the budding artists, but the promises were short-lived.
