President William Ruto on Monday flagged off electrification materials for last-mile connectivity in Awendo constituency, Migori County.
Ruto has said that the government will electrify 25,000 households in Migori by November this year, at a total cost of Sh1.9 billion
The project is being implemented through electrification agencies led by the Rural Electrification and Renewable Energy Corporation (REREC).
During the flag-off, Energy CS Opiyo Wandayi, Governor Ochillo Ayacko and a host of area leaders were present.
