President William Ruto on Wednesday attended the installation of Benard Chitunga as the Chancellor of the Co-operative University of Kenya.
The President congratulated him on the installation, saying he will have Kenya’s support.
“With more than 14 million members, the power of the cooperative movement not only helps tackle poverty but also empowers communities and nurtures enterprises,” he said.
Ruto said the government will implement far-reaching reforms in training, research and innovation to sustainably boost the contribution of cooperatives to the economic progress.
“May your leadership bring real change in people’s lives. You have our support.”
