The Human Resource Management Professionals Examinations Board (HRMPEB) has officially commenced the April 2025 examination series for the Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET) Diploma in HR and the inaugural Craft Certificate in HR.

Starting today, April 9, 2025, and running until April 16, 2025, the exams will be taking place in various centers nationwide, marking a significant milestone in the HR profession in Kenya.

HRMPEB CEO CHRP Margaret Nguu said the introduction of the CBET programs aligns with the Kenyan Government's agenda for Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) and aims to elevate HR skills and competencies.

“This initiative is a pivotal moment for the professionalization of human resource management education in Kenya, as it focuses not only on theoretical knowledge but also on practical, real-world application, ensuring that graduates are fully equipped for the dynamic HR landscape,” Nguu said.

The CBET model places a strong emphasis on developing skills that are directly applicable to the workplace, empowering students to excel in key HR functions and be truly job-ready.
