18 hours of pure sherehe and 18 amazing DJs. Yes, you heard that one Right?
On Friday, March 21st, 2025 M-Pesa by Safaricom held a major party at Uhuru Park to celebrate a huge milestone – turning 18.
The Sherehe invited everyone across the country, as entry was simply a 20-bob bundle bought via the M-pesa App.
Kenyans turned up in large numbers ready to have a good time and enjoy performances from their favorite artists and DJs plus lots of goodies from Safaricom.

Gates to the concert opened at exactly 2 pm but trust me, Kenyans were already at the gate in numbers as early as noon eager to find out what the party had to offer.
This was one of the major concerts that were going down in the city as a section of other Kenyans and visitors from across the globe also converged in Naivasha for the WRC Safari Rally.

The early opening of gates at Uhuru Park allowed party people to secure their preferred spots that could enable them to enjoy the performance without any struggles.
At the concert, performances ranged from gospel to secular giving everyone present a chance to enjoy his or her favorite genre.
From the gospel industry, we had the likes of Karura Voices Choir, Jabidii and his mother, Timeless Noel, DJ Krowbar, and DJ Moz.

The lineup of DJs included DJ Moh Spice, DJ Daffy, DJ Xclusive, Kris Darlin, G-Money, CNG and DJ Dream, DJ Kalonje, MGM, DJ Nijo, DJ Redbone, DJ IV, DJ Suraj, DJ Grauchi, DJ Andre among others.
On the other hand, singer Njerae, rapper Femi One, Jua Cali, Mejja, Khaligraph Jones, and Kodong Klan led the lineup of performances at the concert and as always they did not disappoint.

The whole concert was spiced up by super talented MCs among them Mwalimu Rachel, Kwambox, Kibunjah, Hype Ballo, MC Gogo, and Tallia Oyando – all who kept the crowd on their feet for the 18 hours of the ultimate Sherehe.
If you ask me, this was one of the most vibrant and secure concerts I have attended. M-Pesa by Safaricom went all out to ensure that their customers were super secure at the venue.
From the regular side to the VIP section, security was top notch and fans were left with only one task - enjoying the party.

At one point, Safaricom CEO Peter Ndegwa joined MC Kibunjah on stage to wish M-Pesa a Happy Birthday.
During the sessions, a lucky fan managed to win Sh180,000 courtesy of M-Pesa who are officially 18 years on the Market.
