Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro said he has no idea why he was removed as chairperson of the influential Budget and Appropriations Committee.

Nyoro, serving his second term and replaced by Alego Usonga MP Samuel Atandi. Atandi is a member of ODM.

Speaking at a national press conference from his office, on Tuesday, Nyoro said that although his appointment was based on broad consultations, no one had informed him about the reasons for his removal.

“The position I held was a result of consultations. Before such a decision is made, extensive discussions must take place. However, I have not had any conversation, either directly or by phone, with any leader in our coalition regarding my removal,” Nyoro stated.
