In a recent exclusive interview with Mpasho's Kalondu Musyimi, actor Omari Hardwick, best known for his iconic role as James "Ghost" St. Patrick in the hit series Power, had a fun and engaging quickfire round.
The actor, who's currently in Kenya, opened up about everything from his first job to his dream co-star. Here’s a closer look at the highlights from their conversation.
Kalondu kicked off the rapid-fire questions, starting with a simple inquiry about Omari’s real name. The actor revealed, "Omadi."
Standing tall at 5'10", Omari also shared that his last Google search was about Steven Jennings, a friend he had recently been hanging out with.
When asked about his first job, Omari fondly remembered his time working at a moving company, hauling furniture.
When it comes to food, Omari’s favorite meal is a classic: pasta, spaghetti, and meatballs, while his least favourite is liver.
He also revealed a fun fact—he has about 36 tattoos, a hidden talent that reflects his love for body art.
As for the biggest life lesson he wishes he’d learned sooner, Omari said, “To make life move slower.”
The conversation then shifted to his visit to Kenya, with Omari revealing that love was the primary reason for his trip.
He also shared a light-hearted exchange with Kalondu, where they taught each other Swahili words.

When asked about his dream co-star, Omari’s response was quick and straightforward: the legendary Robert De Niro.
Reflecting on his Power days, Omari admitted that the fan base is one unforgettable aspect of the show.
However, between his two famous roles, Ghost and James in the show, Omari confessed that James was harder to portray.
Omari also shared his experience with Kenyan people, describing them as “lovely.” Interestingly, he revealed that he’s often mistaken for Ghost in real life, an indication of how deeply his character has resonated with fans.
As the interview wrapped up, Kalondu turned the tables on Omari, asking him to fire a question back at her.
Omari asked, "How many siblings do you have?" Kalondu revealed she’s an only child, a fact that Omari quickly guessed.
The conversation ended on a light note when Kalondu asked Omari about his wildest dream. Omari, clearly caught off guard, struggled to put it into words. “I can’t explain it,” he admitted, before joking, “I’m on the spot, guys.”
Before parting ways, Omari and Kalondu snapped a quick photo, capping off a memorable and fun-filled conversation between the two.
