Kenya Power has listed areas in five counties scheduled for power interruption on Friday.

The power interruption will occur between 8 am and 5 pm in the different counties.

The counties to be affected are Nairobi, West Pokot, Nandi, Nyeri, and Kisii.

The utility firm said the power interruption is to facilitate system maintenance.

Nairobi

Parts of Nairobi to face power cuts from 9am to 5pm are part of Muthangari Drive, Kanjata Crescent, and adjacent customers.

West Pokot

Areas in West Pokot scheduled for power interruption from 9am to 5pm include Naramam, Chepkechir, Emboasis and adjacent customers.

Nandi

Areas in Nandi will face power interruption from 9.30 a.m. to 5 pm.

The areas include Chemomi, Kamarich, Mugundoi, Kaptumo and adjacent customers.

Nyeri

Parts of Nyeri will face power cuts from 8am to 4pm.

They are Thangathi, Ithanje, Kiuu, Mbugua, California and Ujamaa.

Kisii

Areas in Kisii scheduled for power interruption from 9am to 4pm include Menyinkwa Market, Masongo Quarry, Riamasagra, Misesi Dispensary, Iyabe, Mwata, Kamagambo, China Hanan Old and New and Bokimai.
