Celebrated Kenyan singer and songwriter Bien Aimé Baraza delivered an electrifying performance during the African Nations Championship (CHAN) final draw held on Wednesday, January 15, at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC).

The prestigious event brought together Africa’s top national teams, star players, and passionate fans, setting the stage for an unforgettable evening.

When Bien, a member of the celebrated band Sauti Sol, took to the stage, he was introduced with much fanfare. “Ladies and gentlemen, let’s welcome Grammy Award-winning, Kenya’s highest-streamed artiste, the heart for East Africa. Give it up for Bien!” the host announced, setting the tone for his entrance.

Dressed in a casual yet stylish ensemble of a white t-shirt and black trousers, Bien graced the stage with his signature confidence.

Bien’s Optimism for Harambee Stars

Speaking to TUKO.co.ke on the sidelines of the event, Bien expressed his unwavering support for Kenya’s national football team, Harambee Stars.

The team has been drawn into a challenging group alongside two-time champions Morocco, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Angola, and Zambia. Despite the formidable opponents, Bien remained optimistic.

“We will beat them,” he said confidently. “We have a good squad and home advantage. Former Harambee Stars captain McDonald Mariga now heads the federation. All these align spiritually. We will surely beat them. Just wait, you will see!”

Bien also expressed his broader support for East Africa, vowing to stand behind whichever team emerges victorious in the region.
