World Toilet Day is held every year on November 19.

It has been an annual United Nations Observance since 2013.

World Toilet Day raises awareness of the 3.5 billion people living without access to safe toilets.

Unsafe water, sanitation and hygiene are responsible for the deaths of around 1,000 children under five every day.
