On Saturday, November 9, the comedian shared a video statement through his social media accounts, showing that he is doing fine.
The entertainer, who had recently raised concerns among Kenyans, appeared with three friends who also confirmed that he was okay.
“Team Mwihoko, team umbwedede, we’re saying everything’s fine. The King of Mwihoko himself is here, he’s strong,” Desagu said in the video.
His friend recording the video dismissed claims that Desagu was unwell and urged Kenyans to stop spreading unverified rumours.
He advised fans to avoid tarnishing other people's reputations, saying it was unhelpful.
“Calm down; I don’t know why you want to tarnish someone else’s name or talk about things that don’t make sense, to be honest. Everyone here is trying to get by. The economy is tough, and then you’re talking about someone with things that don’t even make sense. My friend, people are going through things, and you’re making life harder and ruining it by talking about things you don’t know. Here he is, in good condition and alert,” he said.
Desagu, who appeared happy and excited in the video, confirmed that everything was fine and wished everyone a great weekend.
"I have no issues," he said.
Earlier in the week, reports surfaced that comedian Desagu had been rescued by well-meaning Kenyans in what was alleged to be a distressing situation.
Claims that the entertainer was not okay were made on Facebook and supported by Kikuyu musician Karangu Muraya.

“Friends, let’s learn to check in on those around us. I came across a post by Henry Desagu yesterday where he mentioned feeling unsafe, and many may have dismissed it as another joke. However, he later clarified that he was okay.
This morning around 9:40 AM, as I was driving along Thika-Ngoingwa-Mangu Road, I witnessed a troubling situation. A young man was walking in the middle of the road, seeming unbothered while cars honked at him. Thankfully, by God’s grace, I decided to stop my car and check on him. With the help of a few kind-hearted people, we approached him—and it turned out to be Henry Desagu,” he said.
He added, "He was not mentally stable, shouting and speaking nonstop. Without hesitation, I helped him into my car, and with others, we rushed him to Level 5 Hospital.
There, a compassionate mental health doctor, Dr. Catherine, attended to him. A big thank you to everyone who assisted when I called for help—God bless you all."
