Gilda Naibei, daughter to Esther Musila is comparing her 30th birthday to that of her mother. On her YouTube channel, Naibei said at 30 she is scared of starting her own family as she considers herself still a child.
"I think things have changed, its been 24 years, that's a whole two decades, so you can imagine, things have evolved. What was priority for me then is probably not for you now."
She said when growing up in the 90s, she too had ambitions.
"I used to say I will get married at 26 and I was hoping I will have had a good job and be stable. The 90s were different, I can't say I planned to get married, it just happened."
She revealed she had not vetted the man she eventually started life with. At the time, she got pregnant at 19.
"I wasn't scared, maybe I was scared of my parents finding out because my mother knew I was pregnant before I told her. She looked at my skin tone and thought I was a little lighter than usual."
Adding "By the time I was 20, I already had my first child. We had not planned to have a child, it just came.
Musila said by the age of 30 she was fully handling many responsibilities.
