Six grounds Senators rejected in ex-DP Rigathi Gachagua's impeachment

Senators on Thursday night upheld the impeachment of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

They upheld five of the 11 charges levelled against Gachagua.
 However, they rejected six charges.
“The Senate has resolved to remove from office by impeachment H.E. Rigathi Gachagua, the Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya," Senate Speaker Amason Kingi said.

“Accordingly, H.E. Rigathi Gachagua ceases to hold office."
