A new investigative report released on October 29 details the recruitment of Africans by Russia to fight in Ukraine.
The data, compiled from a Journalists for Justice Investigative Report, documents a total of 3,034 African nationals drawn from 40 countries into the conflict.
Kenya leads the documented figures by a wide margin, accounting for 841 recruits. Egypt follows as the second-highest source nation with 407 individuals documented, closely trailed by Cameroon with 383 recruits.
West and East African nations also feature prominently in the breakdown. Ghana accounts for 337 documented recruits, while Nigeria records 214 individuals.
Uganda registers the lowest figure among the listed countries, with 108 nationals documented. The remaining balance of the 3,034 total is distributed across the rest of the 40 nations monitored in the findings.
