Content creator Nyako has called out Suba North MP Millie Odhiambo after accusing her of walking past her without greeting her during an encounter at a hospital.
Nyako, currently in Kenya, expressed her displeasure in a TikTok video where she directly addressed the legislator, asking why she failed to acknowledge her presence.
“Me, I don’t bow to politicians. Yesterday you should have said hi to me. You should have asked me what I’m doing at the hospital. These are the MPs, representatives of poor people,” Nyako said.

She went on to address the politician, saying, “Milie Mabona ikufikie. Hiyo maringo yako usituletee kwa hospitali.”
Her remarks prompted a response from Millie, who said she had been visiting the hospital for several days and was unaware of the incident Nyako was referring to.

The MP addressed the controversy in a Facebook post after the TikTok video was brought to her attention.
Millie said she had been at the hospital every day for three consecutive days and did not recognize Nyako when the alleged encounter took place.

“Kenyans are very interesting. Someone has sent me a TikTok video where ‘Nyako’ is complaining and calling me ‘stupid’ for not talking to her at the hospital. I do not know which day, since I have been in hospital every single day for the last three days. My apologies that I passed a celeb without knowing. My bad!!!” she wrote.
The legislator also challenged the assumption that public figures should always be available to interact with people, pointing out that they can experience personal difficulties like everyone else.
“I love the way everyone assumes we are superhuman. If I was in hospital, could I have been sick, for instance?” she added.
Millie’s response offered a different perspective on the encounter, suggesting that her hospital visits may have had circumstances Nyako was unaware of.

In the same response, Millie recounted an incident involving her grandchildren during a restaurant outing.
She said her grandchildren had approached a group of people who were joking about public figures walking around with Gen Z companions for security.
According to Millie, the children defended their right to accompany their grandmother.
“Excuse me, we are Gen Zs, but we have a right to walk with our grandma,” she recalled them saying.
The MP ended the anecdote with her familiar expression, “TIBIM!!!”
The exchange between Nyako and Millie has sparked discussion online, with the two offering contrasting accounts of the hospital encounter.
While Nyako questioned why the MP had not greeted her, Millie maintained that she had not recognized the content creator and reminded Kenyans that public figures can also find themselves in difficult personal circumstances.
