National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula has directed the Education Committee to address concerns over the management of Junior Secondary Schools operating within primary school premises. Wetang’ula has raised fears that primary schools lack adequate personnel and capacity to manage public resources, warning that capitation funds sent to the institutions could be misappropriated. He wants committee chair Julius Melly to work with the Education Ministry to ensure qualified personnel manage critical JSS functions.
