Livestreaming of election results is a major component of building trust in the electoral system, this is according to Foreign Affairs PS Korir Sing’oei. Speaking ahead of the Trust Summit, which has kicked off today in Nairobi, Sing’oei acknowledged technological gaps and cybersecurity concerns, but argued that the issues should be resolved rather than used to eliminate live transmission. His support for keeping live results comes amid debate over the Elections (Amendment) Bill.
