Swiss luxury watch retailer TimeVallée has entered the Kenyan market through a partnership with Art of Luxury.

The retailer has opened a boutique spanning more than 300 square metres at GTC Mall in Nairobi as it expands its presence across Africa and other emerging luxury markets.

The entry into Kenya extends TimeVallée’s footprint in the Middle East, India, Africa and Turkey (MEIAT) region, following recent openings in Turkey, India and Egypt.

The Nairobi outlet brings together 10 international watchmaking brands under one retail concept, including Cartier, Bvlgari, Hublot, IWC Schaffhausen, Jaeger-LeCoultre, TAG Heuer and Zenith.

The partnership gives TimeVallée a local retail presence in Kenya while allowing Art of Luxury to broaden its portfolio of international luxury brands. The boutique is located in Westlands, within the GTC Mall complex.

“TimeVallée once again demonstrates its ability to deploy a unique luxury retail concept internationally. We are thrilled to have partnered with Art of Luxury, a trusted partner who shares our vision of serving local clientele with more than a boutique, a watchmaking journey guided by a passionate sales team,” said Hélène Maslin, Chief Executive Officer of TimeVallée.

Mahesh Shahani, a director at Art of Luxury, said the partnership would expand the retailer’s luxury offering and bring international watchmaking brands to Nairobi.

The opening is part of TimeVallée’s international growth strategy. Founded in 2014 and headquartered in Switzerland, the company operates through strategic partners and has more than 50 boutiques worldwide.

Its multi-brand model brings several watchmaking houses into a single retail location, allowing customers to explore different brands while giving the participating Maisons an additional retail channel.

The Nairobi boutique spans more than 300 square metres and includes a private lounge, Le Salon, alongside an open-plan retail space showcasing the participating brands.
