The Linda Mwananchi Movement has accused President William Ruto of interfering with the construction of the Masinde Muliro Market in Trans Nzoia County.In a statement, the movement said the market is a county government project commissioned in the 2017/2018 financial year at a cost of about 670 million shillings.The group cited an audit report that raised concerns over delays and other issues surrounding the project. It added that Governor George Natembeya had addressed the audit queries following Senate scrutiny.Linda Mwananchi maintains that the national government should respect devolution and allow county governments to manage projects under their mandate.
