Fans heading to Ne-Yo’s Nairobi show now know what to wear. Organisers of One Night Only: Brunch Edition have named the dress code “Ne-Yo Luxe” and built it around several colours.

The concert runs from 3 pm to 11 pm at Ulinzi Sports Complex on Mashujaa Day, 20 October 2026.

The colours

Each shade comes with a music-themed tagline:

  • Navy: “deep like the feeling of love”
  • Bronze: “warm like the groove”
  • Olive Green: “naturally in tune”
  • Gold: “made to shine”
  • Cream: “soft like a slow jam”
  • Burgundy: “bold like the hook”
  • Chocolate: “rich like the bassline”
  • Black: “smooth like the classics”

For the ladies

The style guide shows a mix of relaxed and dressy looks in those colours.

One look is an olive green corset-style maxi dress. Another is a cream bustier top with a tiered ruffle skirt that fades from terracotta to burgundy.

For a bolder take, there is a burgundy leather mini skirt with a matching jacket and knee-high boots. A satin gold midi dress with a high slit comes with a straw hat.

Trousers are covered too. One outfit pairs a tan halter top with brown wide-leg jeans. Another matches a black off-shoulder top with cargo jeans and a silver handbag.

The denim option is a corset mini dress under a cropped denim jacket.

For the gentlemen

Men are guided towards smart-casual outfits in earthy and deep tones.

One look is a chocolate-brown suit with a black turtleneck and white sneakers. Another is a navy linen shirt with white trousers and navy loafers.

A green polo, white trousers and a scarf make a golf-club style outfit. For something lighter, a brown tee pairs with cream shorts and brown sneakers.

The evening option is a black leather jacket over a black turtleneck, with black trousers and loafers.

The brunch setting

Unlike earlier One Night Only editions, this one is a daytime brunch concert that mixes live music with a relaxed social setting. That helps explain the light fabrics, linen, and mix of dressy and casual looks.

Ne-Yo last performed in Kenya in 2015, on the third season of Coke Studio Africa. This is his first Kenyan appearance in 11 years. UK band Sol & The Gang will perform alongside him.
