Eight bodies exhumed from Binzaro Forest in Kilifi County have been identified through DNA testing and handed over to their families. Government pathologist Richard Njoroge said 14 families from different parts of the country, including Busia and Migori, had identified their missing relatives through DNA analysis. The remains are believed to belong to followers of controversial preacher Paul Mackenzie, who allegedly subjected his followers to radical teachings and forced fasting.
