The Office of the Registrar of Political Parties has begun the formal process of renaming The Equitable Party to Linda Mwananchi Movement. Registrar John Lorionokou said the party had submitted the required documents, including its National Executive Committee resolution. The party must now address public representations after a mandatory 14-day period. The movement is associated with Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna, Embakasi East MP Babu Owino and Siaya Senator James Orengo.
