A host of leaders gathered at Kang’o ka Jaramogi in Bondo, Siaya County, for a candle-lighting ceremony ahead of Thursday’s memorial service in honour of the late Raila Odinga.
The ceremony is being held to mark one year since the death of the former Prime Minister. Various dignitaries are expected to attend the event.
Family members, led by Ida Odinga, have already arrived at the venue.
Among the leaders present are Siaya Governor James Orengo, Rarieda MP Otiende Amollo, Bondo MP Gideon Ochanda, Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris, Kisumu Central MP Joshua Oron, Kisumu Deputy Governor Matthew Owili and acting ODM Secretary-General Catherine Omanyo.
