Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has cautioned politicians against resorting to hooliganism as the country approaches an increasingly heated political season. Speaking during the launch of the Giathenge-Witima road construction project in Othaya, Nyeri County, Kindiki said security agencies were monitoring politicians suspected of recruiting goons ahead of the campaign period. He also urged young people not to be manipulated into political violence. The Deputy President further challenged his political rivals in the region to focus on competing through ideas and policies rather than engaging in destructive politics.
