CORRIDORS OF POWER
The political transfer window is proving that not everyone who defended the government tooth and nail was doing so out of conviction. Corridors has learnt that a woman MP from a metropolitan county and town is allegedly  plotting a surprise switch to a rival camp. The irony is that the MP has been firmly in the government corner, taking swipes at the very side she is now reportedly eyeing. There is a reason they say you should understand a business before venturing into it. A senior official reportedly setting up an establishment to international standards may want to take that advice. Corridors has learnt that a consultant was left stunned after the official’s agent disclosed the proposed pay for the institution’s head and other staff. The figures were purportedly so low that the consultant advised the official to first find out what even the lowest-paid professional in the field takes home. International standards, it seems, may require more than a grand name.
