The Kenya Meteorological Department has forecast above-average rainfall across several parts of the country for most of this month. The rains are expected in Nairobi, Makueni, Kajiado, Machakos, Wajir, Marsabit, Laikipia, Nakuru, Narok and parts of the central region. Near-average to above-average rainfall is also expected in western, Rift Valley and northeastern counties. The department has warned that heavy rainfall events are likely in several parts of the country.
