Kenyans have been urged to take advantage of the subsidised LPG starter kit programme to adopt cleaner and safer cooking methods. State Department for Petroleum Secretary Mohammed Birik said the government is also installing bulk LPG systems in more than 11,000 schools to reduce reliance on firewood and charcoal, which pose health and environmental risks.
