Kenya’s LPG demand grew by 14.7 per cent, from 415,000 metric tonnes in 2024 to 476,000 metric tonnes in 2025. Consumption peaked in March at 43,700 metric tonnes and was lowest in February at 36,480 metric tonnes. The growth was supported by expanded importation, storage and distribution infrastructure, improved product availability and government interventions. Demand is expected to rise further as LPG adoption expands in learning institutions, residential developments and targeted cylinder distribution programmes for low-income households.
