Interior CS Kipchumba Murkomen has warned holders of illegal firearms in the Kerio Valley and surrounding areas to surrender their weapons or face a security operation targeting illegal arms. Speaking during a church service in Turkana, CS Murkomen urged those in possession of guns and other illegal weapons to hand them over before the planned disarmament exercise begins, as security agencies intensify efforts to tackle banditry in the region.
