Interior CS Kipchumba Murkomen says the government is deploying more security personnel and equipment to the Turkana-West Pokot and Turkana-Baringo borders in a bid to restore lasting peace. CS Murkomen says the operations will target criminals and their accomplices, illegal firearms and stolen livestock, while addressing conflicts linked to competition over resources. He says the operations will be intelligence-led and focused on protecting civilians.
