The Kilifi County Government has come under scrutiny after county officials, led by Deputy Governor Flora Chibule, failed to provide the Senate Public Accounts Committee with the exact amount owed to contractors and suppliers. Speaking when the county officials appeared before the committee, during the senate mashinani program, chairman, Senator Moses Kanjwang, expressed concern over the lack of transparency surrounding the county government’s debts to contractors and suppliers for over the past five years now.
