Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya claims Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna will use the United Democratic Party (UDP) as his political vehicle in the 2027 presidential race. Speaking during a morning radio interview, Natembeya said Sifuna would use the party as a political party principal during coalition negotiations with the opposition team. The remarks come as Sifuna prepares to launch his new political vehicle early next month. The Registrar of Political Parties recently rejected a bid by Sifuna and Natembeya to rename UDP as Ukombozi Party of Kenya.
