President William Ruto and First Lady Rachel Ruto joined basketball fans in New York to support Kenyan-born WNBA star Madina Okot during Atlanta Dream’s clash with New York Liberty. The President watched the game courtside at Barclays Center, where Atlanta won 83-65. Okot, who was picked 13th overall in the 2026 WNBA Draft, played for just over two minutes and recorded one rebound. She later described Ruto’s presence as an honour.
