Police arrested a suspected SIM-swap fraudster in Mtwapa after the suspect allegedly posed as a government official conducting SHA registration. Police say 37-year-old Phyllis Njagi targeted members of the public, especially the elderly, to obtain their personal details and access their mobile money accounts. Police arrested Njagi while driving and recovered several insurance certificates and number-plate casings from the vehicle. Police are looking for another suspect who escaped during the operation.
