Women senators have expressed outrage following reports that 36 schoolgirls from Webuye in Bungoma County have become pregnant. Through their association, KEWOSA, the legislators have called for swift investigations and the arrest of all those responsible. They stressed the need to protect girls from exploitation and ensure they remain in school, saying education gives them an opportunity to improve their lives and secure a better and more dignified future.
