KRA has asked customs agents to apply for renewal of their next year operating licences by the end of next month. Through a public notice, the tax authority directed that every application must go through the iCMS platform. Agents are required to provide their registration details, valid tax compliance certificates, bonds and copies of their current licences. Officials reminded the public that standard licences expire every December, with an exception for holders of three-year Authorised Economic Operator permits.
