First Lady Rachel Ruto has called for stronger international cooperation to tackle gender-based violence, femicide and human trafficking. Speaking at a Kenya-Romania conference on protecting women and children, she said the challenges require countries to share experiences and strengthen prevention and response systems. She called for a whole-of-government and whole-of-society approach involving health, education, security, justice and community stakeholders.
