Persons with disabilities and other marginalised groups must participate meaningfully in Kenya’s political and democratic processes, Dr Isaac Mwaura has said. He noted that government policies and priorities are shaped through political engagement, warning that excluding minority voices could leave their needs inadequately addressed. Mwaura urged stakeholders to engage political parties, policymakers and other actors in developing policies that promote inclusion and address the concerns of marginalised communities.
