There is a need to sensitise Kenyans about diseases that are likely to increase during the El Nino rains. According to health expert Dr Hamadi Chai, this awareness will help protect the public, especially children, from these illnesses. Dr Chai has also called for funds set aside for El Nino preparedness to be released promptly and directed towards benefiting the intended beneficiaries.
