A section of senators has raised concerns over the absence of pro-government leaders who are responsible for coordinating government business in the Senate. Led by Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale, the senators described the absenteeism as unfortunate and a sign of poor leadership. They said the absence was particularly concerning as several Cabinet Secretaries are appearing before the Senate to answer questions on matters concerning their ministries.
