An 18-year-old woman has been arrested after police foiled an alleged jailbreak plot at Ruai Police Station. Christine Njoki Gitau had taken food to three suspects held at the station when officers found a pair of pliers and a shear hidden in the meal. The suspects, Emmanuel Bosire, Ismael Arisa and Brian Gatheru, are facing robbery with violence and gang rape charges. Police believe the tools were intended to help them escape. The DCI has warned that helping suspects escape from custody is a criminal offence.
