At least 1,100 youths have been jailed in connection with political goonism, Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has told senators. Murkomen said they are among more than 11,000 youths arrested across the country for various criminal activities. He added that males account for the highest number of those arrested, at  more than 9,800.
