President Wiliam Ruto has awarded a letter of interim authority to Kamagambo university at Kisumu state lodge.

The award marks a major step towards the establishment of the institution as a recognised university to continue developing its academic programmes and structures as it works for full university status.

The development is expected to increase access to higher education opportunities, particularly for students from the region it also reflects the government's education and strengthen institutions of higher  learning.

The ceremony was attended by government officials and education stakeholders.

Further details on the university programmes, and admission are expected to be provided by the institution and relevant education authorities.
