Kiharu MP and People’s Party of Kenya leader Ndindi Nyoro has pledged to establish a health commission to oversee the recruitment of health workers if elected president next year. Speaking in Kajiado, Nyoro said the commission would address persistent hiring challenges and disputes affecting health workers despite health being a devolved function. He also criticized President William Ruto for allowing the recently resolved nurses’ strike to continue for more than 40 days without intervention.
