The government has urged Kenyans to prepare adequately for the anticipated El Niño rains. Agriculture PS Kiprono Rono has advised farmers to harvest and store rainwater for domestic use and irrigation. He also encouraged farmers to plant cereals and other crops that can withstand harsh weather conditions, urging them to take early measures to protect their livelihoods and ensure food security during the rainy season.
