President William Ruto has hit back at Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna over his pledge to allocate the affordable houses to police officers if elected president in 2027. Speaking in Kisumu, Ruto said the government has already planned 20,000 housing units for police officers. He challenged Sifuna and the opposition to stop debating the affordable housing programme, saying they do not understand the government’s plans and the progress made so far.
