President William Ruto has responded to Senator Edwin Sifuna’s pledge to allocate units under the Affordable Housing Programme to police officers if elected President. Speaking in Kisumu, Ruto said his administration is already addressing security officers' housing needs, insisting that officers have decent homes. Sifuna had said officers deserve to benefit from affordable housing in recognition of their role in maintaining security and order.
